Evelyn Greer Whiting, the daughter of Thomas Lacy and Nellie Thomas Greer, peacefully passed away on September 28, 2017, at the age of 95. Here is a link to her obituary:
[FYI: The obituary incorrectly records her marriage to Fernard Whiting. They were actually married September 20, 1941, and later sealed in the temple on February 13, 1965.]
Her niece, Kelli Tice Crosby, shared the following tribute on Facebook on the day of Evelyn's passing:
"My Aunt Evelyn passed away this morning peacefully. Oh I will miss her, but grateful she is finally with her husband and children, all of whom passed years ago. I can see her with my grandmother just visiting away and smiling through tears of joy. Thank you for loving me and for everything you taught me about the strength of women in our family."
